> When I subscribe to the calendar on my desktop browser, it will not show up in my Android device.

We have both encountered this problem before on our Androids.

The only solution I've found is to install a second calendar app on the android from a different vendor. I normally use the Google calendar app, so I installed the Samsung calendar app, connected it to Google, and the giant 2025-2027 transit calendar appears.

The Samsung Calendar app that worked for me is available for free at the Play store:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.calendar&pcampaignid=web_share

It's probably because the calendar is so large? Perhaps.

We've tried everything else imaginable short of uninstalling and reinstalling the Google calendar app itself. Using a second calendar app is the only thing that has worked for us.

> When I create a new calendar and import the basic.ics file to it, after 60 seconds Google says "Oops, the file could not be imported."

This could be due to the large number of entries in the file. This is why we suggest subscribing to the calendars on a desktop, then using the same Google account on your phone to see the subscribed-to calendars.
